Geriatric Depression Screening

The geriatric depression scale employs the GDS-15 and GDS-4 models to evaluate depressive status in elderly patients based on the reported symptoms as answers to a series of 15 respectively 4 questions.

The models screen for major depression and the shorter version is often used in the monitoring of depressive episodes and of changes in the severity of symptoms. If you feel you may be suffering from depression, it is recommended that you seek an evaluation from a licensed mental health professional.
